Last Stop Promo part 1 ::
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010
Hey Guys! Courtland here to give you a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of the second Atomic Robo Last Stop promo Poster. It all started out with a simple drawing in my sketchbook.
The general idea of this promo was to showcase Robo head to head with Helsingard.From there we moved on to line art. Due to the things I had planned for the finished piece the line art had to be split into several separate drawings.
Robo
With that done it was time to move on to photoshop
and surprise surprise heres a video of it’s progression. Enjoy!

MOBILE WEAPONS PLATFORM; HELSINGARD ::
Tuesday, September 14th, 2010
Robo’s got his work cut out for him. Here is an animation test by our lead 3D animator, Riley Hearn. Keep in mind, like most things on the blog, this sequence if very rough. But it’s still super frickin’ cool! I just had to share. Keep in mind, our version of Helsingard stands at an intimidating 15 feet. Those guns are realllllly big. I’m not saying Robo’s getting his ass kicked or anything but, it’s hard to fight a dude that fires fully automatic rounds larger than your head….

STICK IT IN YOUR EARHOLE “STICKS IT” TO THE FICTORY ::
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010
Earlier this week, on the heals of Comicon, senior members of The Fictory sat down with long time friends of the studio Damian Eby and Parker Lindstrom. In addition to being super handsome, these guys are tag-team hosts of a podcast called Stick It In Your Ear Hole. In a flurry of editing they took our mumbling and turned it into an actual sequence of coherent sentences, sometimes referred to as a conversation. We discuss every thing from the Fictory Comics, to Fubar, and of course… Atomic Robo: Last Stop. Be sure to LISTEN.

THE FICTORY AT THE BALTIMORE COMICON ::
Saturday, August 28th, 2010
Wow. Baltimore Comic Con peeps are pretty amazing. I spent all day on the floor talking to excited Atomic Robo fans. The response to the trialer was fantastic! Me and the crew are more excited than ever to get back in the studio and start animating again! The only bad thing about being at the show is not being in the studio. But it’s more than worth it to hang out with Fans, recharge our batteries and be reminded who we’re doing this for in first place… the audience!
A lot of people asked us to buy Atomic Robo Comics today, but unfortunately we don’t sell them currently. But that doesn’t mean you can go to the official Atomic Robo Site and get your hot hands on your very own copies of Brian and Scott’s badass bot books.
If you are coming in on Sunday, make sure you buy raffle tickets. You could win a signed Atomic Robo: Production Poster (the whole crew), Feltingard (a plush ARLS model Helsingard), or an actual hand drawn Run sequence from the short. We are also selling copies of American Terror at the table. Here’s a link to buy the AT Books, or watch the Fictory short, American Terror: Company Man.
