This month the Fictory, in association with Nuclear Nova, and Postage, Inc., releases it’s first game, Pinball Massacre! Pinball Massacre is a riff on the classic pinball cabinet, with a twist. Our pinball game takes place in the Stabb Gunner universe, which means it’s outrageously fun and quirky!
Over the past few months we’ve done all of the hard work. Now the fun stuff begins. Before we release our new game to the world, we need the help of some Game Testers. If you’ve feel like coming down to the studio and testing your mettle against our designers high scores, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “GAME TESTER”. We also have some options for remote testing. Thanks for your help!

When Courtland and I first began working on Stabb Gunner, we didn’t understand the characters or the universe quite as well as we do now. Along the way, we’ve learned that Stabb Gunner should be colorful, bright, and larger than life. As the direction has changed, so too has the color style. Above is a before (left) and after (right) comparison of the digital painting techniques being used in earlier and current Stabb Gunner art. The line has been simplified and the color has exploded. Honestly I love both styles, but consistency is king! We hope you enjoy the direction we’re going. You’ll be able to see all of the new and redone pages when we publish the now finished first chapter in the Stabb Gunner Saga.

The piece above is one I’ve been meaning to share for a while now. It seems that our boy Stabb Fisticuffs has found himself in a spot of trouble. Nothing a leap from an exploding building and a discarded grenade can’t fix. I’m glad our fans are aware of the silliness inherent in Stabb Gunner. Big props to the artist, Lloyd Harper.
